because at first.......it was a struggle for me lol

and I think I was just making it seem harder than it really is.

Welcome to Project Life~Monday Madness

Instead of having a bbq with family and friends as most Americans did to celebrate 4th of July Independence Day,our kids(whom are adults) opted to spend it together with their significant others and watch fireworks.So my husband and I decided to road trip it to parts unknown!!! drove through towns we haven't been through before.We traveled toward East Iowa.Saw lots of interesting things, it was a beautiful day! I never thought there would be so many American flag designed clothing,I was pretty impressed and people were proud to show off the RED,WHITE and Blue!!!

P.S. haven't done any of the journaling as I need to look up the info of 

the names of the towns we stopped in and drove through

Welcome "Project Life" Monday Madness

Ok so I'm a little behind in posting my pictures from July
but I don't do weekly project life pages,it's pretty random and based on photo ops..lol
My kids are adults and even my dogs don't like having their pictures taken and if I do get a picture in of them,they are sleeping(kinda boring)

these filler cards I printed on photo paper from the phone app called "Snapbook" (for androids)
which has actual project life card kits,these cards are from "Honey" and "Kiwi"

Monday Madness Project Life  #24 (part 1)

Hello Blogger heads!!!
Welcome back to Monday Madness~Project Life style!!

Today's project life page is of another motorcycle road trip my husband and I did on June 27th
luckily Iowa is big enough to mix things up lol
we are actually planning a trip to South Dakota at the end of August(Can't WAIT!!!)
vacation can not get here fast enough!!!
these are pictures taken with my phone,although I have taken pictures while on the motorcycle
with my Canon DSLR,I'll do that in South Dakota
also need to get one of those selfie sticks lol
so I take a few pictures of both my husband and I instead of just scenic photos, although I must admit they have been beautiful days,sunny and blue skies!!!
I hope you all enjoy seeing these pages as much as I enjoy creating them and taking the pictures!!!

Monday Madness Project Life-Everyday Life #23

As you may know Bimini Moose has closed it's doors as of June,

 as a member of her design team I did weekly posts titled "Monday Madness" 

which consisted of  Project Life pages and filler card projects.

I have decided to continue posting "Monday Madness" 

as my regular Monday Madness posts here on my blog,I kinda missed it :)

and it helps me not fall behind on my project life pages........

I am NOT the traditional Project Lifer and I create my pages by "Months"
instead of weekly like they do traditionally.
It's whatever works for me when it works!!!

For Today's post this is of course more photos of our Road Trips via our motorcycle,this is something both my husband and I enjoy doing together one road trip for us will usually consist of a 200+ mile bike ride,my friends think we're crazy....lol


These photos were taken on Father's Day as our adult kids had made their own plans, my husband and I decided to hit the road and enjoy the beautiful day,which it was!
also stopped by in Winterset,Iowa birth home of John Wayne(who would of thought?!)

we always love driving through that town.

I'm sure you can think of lots of reasons to scrap a specific family member. We can't wait to see!

For my project life layout,I couldn't pick just one specific family member,

so I did a layout of both my kids Brittany(25) and Tyler(22) they are my world and they have the best relationship any siblings could have.I have always stressed to them while growing up that they are all they have is each other and to always have each others back and they have done just that so far.I couldn't ask for anything more!!!!I love these two to the moon and back 100X's.

These are just a few pictures of them together for halloween,Tyler taking his sister for a ride on his new motorcycle,the two of them on the beach when we went back to Hawaii and the two of them on a night out in Iowa City posing with the Hawkeye!!!

for today's post I have created a 2 page layout of Mother's Day weekend,we spent the Saturday at my daughters house,she was having a garage sale.actually the towns that we live in hosts a city wide garage sale within each town,so the town she lives in had it on the 8th of May and she invited us over for a cook out.we had been getting a lot of rain in the past week and the day of her garage sale turned out to be a perfect day!after the garage sale we had a backyard fire, good company,stories and good eats!!

Hello all you Project Lifers!!!

It's Bimini Moose DT Elecia  here with another Monday Madness post to share with you... 

I have created another Project Life layout using photos from another motorcycle ride that my husband and I have gone on.it was a short ride! usually when my husband gets on the motorcycle,we end up across state.so I have to be very specific with him about how far I want to go lol  so I'm afraid you all will be seeing a lot of scenic pictures such as these....

For my pages I mixed a WeRMemory pages sleeve(on the left) and a paper studio-hobby lobby brand (on the right) I LOVE how it incorporates both vertical and horizontal 4X6 pockets but that page is also 12X10 so it's a tad short but who cares because my album is full of randomness,it's not done weekly,more like monthly and randomly... very randomly!!!

Hello Project Lifers

it's DT Elecia here to share with you another fabulous Bimini Moose Monday Madness project!

do you create PL pages of the not so good moments in life? the bad days? the accidents?? the OMG! this is NOT happening kinda day???

Today I am sharing with you a page I created that happened a couple weeks ago in our small town of Gilbert, when one of the grain bins at our local Key Cooperative started on fire.As the fire started at around 4pm in the afternoon and I get home around 4:45 after work.for a couple minutes of panic(I am thinking it is MY house on fire) as I am driving into Gilbert all I can see is thick smoke and fire engines,the smoke is coming from the same are where MY house should be!!! I immediately call my husband and ask what is going on??? he informs me it's the grain bin.....huge sigh of relief,it is not my house or anyone's house for that matter....There were 13 fire departments here to help contain the fire as it burns into the night and it is only a block away from my house.Of course the entire town and every farmer is there on Main St. to watch this,including people from surrounding towns. lol and of course I am there thinking I need to "Project Life" this event......and here ya go!

Key Cooperativecaught of fire,unfortunately it was  the oldest bin that they have and even worst it was filled with soy beans,not sure of what the loss was worth, money wise but I'm sure it was a huge blow to the farmers......so of course it happens at 4pm and I usually get home around 4:45 after work,so on my way home I see nothing but fire engines coming and going.....I see thick smoke which happens to be in the same are of where MY house should be.....first thing I think of is,"it's my house" my mind starts racing of the what ifs......I quickly call my husband whom I forgot went home early from work because he wasn't feeling well and asked what's going on???? he informs me of what's burning and I think to myself, thank God it's not a home....(it's NOT MY home) The fire lasted through the night,fire departments from several towns show up to help get the fire under control,which unfortunately is on a very windy day!

There were so many page ideas I wanted to do for this challenge but I decided to use the most current photos of my 3 dogs; Hercules (yellow lab), Miracle (daughter to Hercules) and Gabrielle "Gabby" (the beagle) and also use 2 of my favorite dog poem and quote

I used the BH 5th and Frolic Project Life set embellished the cards with images from other cards,twine,eyelets,prima flowers,buttons,sequins,shaped paper clips,inked edges,sparkly gems and rubber stamps

LOVE this dog quote

this poem I just LOVE to pieces it describes a dogs unconditional love for his human til his last breath....it is so true!!!!

 Hello it's Bimini Moose DT Elecia here for another Monday Madness Project Life post. I have used filler cards from the BH 5th and Frolic set and added embellishments to them and also used other cards to decorate the cards I will be using in tomorrows post.I also created a shaker on one of the filler cards.

for this filler card I'm gonna create a shaker using the jar

 I cut out the inside of the jar

 created a shaker card with heart sequins

  adding embellishments to filler cards gives it some extra dimension

used images from other filler cards to decorate with,

twine,eye lets and heart shaped paper clips,sequins,rubber stamps,inked edges,

chipboard shaped hearts,prima flowers,buttons and faux gem/stars

here are the filler cards I will be using for our new Bimini Moose Challenge

It's Bimini Moose DT Elecia here sharing some handmade greeting cards I have created using PL filler cards,I bought the Amber edition kit which has tons of duplicates and I found they are perfect  for greeting cards and I am needing to replenish my card inventory, it's a perfect opportunity to get it done for today's' Monday Madness post!!!

I also have a little tid bit to share if you use "pop dots" for any of your projects here is a cheaper way to go about it.....

 I buy white foam sheets for probably a dollar a sheet(if that) 

at Walmart,they are acid free

 I cut a strip from the sheet

I cut the sizes I need to pop dot and glue it on my piece(sentiment)

and glue my "pop dotted" piece to my card

viola a cheaper way to make pop dots!!!
